Man Up & Open Up is a campaign that aims to break down negative stereotypes and tackle taboos. With suicide being the biggest cause of death for men under 45; it is clear that we need to change the way we perceive traditional ideals of masculinity. The visual language centers around a typeface named liberty which represents the freedom to be your authentic self, not constrained by antiquated ideas of masculinity such as power, dominance and physical strength. The campaign aims to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health through the selling of football style scarves that encourage men to "man up & open up".
